Winnersh for the win: New RailAir stop boosts connectivity to Heathrow
RailAir, the premium coach service linking regional rail hubs to Heathrow Airport, is introducing a new stop at Winnersh Triangle on its popular RailAir 1 (RA1) service.
From Sunday 19 January 2025, passengers across the Thames Valley will be able to make use of the additional stop at Winnersh Triangle on services to and from Reading to Heathrow.
The Winnersh Triangle stop, located at the heart of one of the region's busiest business parks, and adjacent to Winnersh Triangle Railway Station, is designed to meet the growing demand for direct airport connectivity from surrounding areas. With the new stop, passengers benefit from:
- Direct access to Heathrow: Travel to Heathrow Airport from Winnersh Triangle in under an hour, avoiding the need for additional transfers. Services drop and collect passengers directly from the Terminal door.
- Convenient schedules: Frequent and reliable services up to every 20 minutes, tailored to accommodate both early-morning flights and late-night arrivals.
- Modern amenities: Luxury, air-conditioned coaches with Wi-Fi, USB charging, and ample luggage space for a stress-free journey.
Simon Goff, Managing Director of First Bus, South, which operates RailAir, commented on the expansion:
"We are thrilled to add Winnersh Triangle to our RailAir 1 service. This underscores our commitment to improving connectivity and providing high-quality travel experiences for our passengers. By expanding our network, we aim to support local businesses, reduce road congestion, and offer a convenient, sustainable alternative for airport transfers."
