Free bus travel to mark Remembrance weekend
Local bus operator, First South is offering free travel across its bus network for all veterans and UK Armed Forces personnel travelling to Remembrance activities on Armistice Day (Saturday 11th November) and Remembrance Sunday (Sunday 12th November).
On both days, the bus operator will give free bus travel across its routes in Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall to the Armed Forces community - serving troops, veterans, and cadets.
First Bus South operates First Solent, First Wessex, Buses of Somerset, Cornwall by Kernow, and Beeline routes, which will all provide free travel for forces veterans to attend commemorative events to remember the service and sacrifice of their comrades.
To claim free travel, all current and former military personnel should show the driver their Armed Forces ID or wear their medals or uniform.

We're making travel to and from Remembrance events as easy as possible for people who are attending, and I am pleased that our business can play our part in supporting and remembering those lost in military service past and present.
